'I had a thyroid problem that first came to light in 1996. I told the doctor I didn't really want to go on synthetic tablets unless I absolutely had to. He said: 'Oh well, let's leave it for three months and see how it goes.' He thought I'd go back begging for thyroxine, but instead I went to Liz who gave me one of her herbal concoctions. Three months later I went back to the doctor who was totally perplexed. 'Oh,' he said, 'your thyroid has gone back to normal!'

As long as I took my herbal medicine, everything was OK. I felt well for some time but I should have taken a maintenance dose. Instead, I lapsed, and when I had another blood test the problem was the same again. The doctor said, 'Oh yes, we'll have you on thyroxine,' but I didn't bother to take the prescription, I just went back to Liz. Within a very short space of time my thyroid was back on course. Now I am having my maintenance dose and the doctor is still perplexed!

What I really like is that herbal medicine is so versatile. I can go to Liz if I have any other trouble and she'll just add something to the medicine and sort it out. She's fabulous, so helpful - I feel so much better!'

'I've had lifelong eczema - I was bandaged up as a child, I never wore anything short-sleeved - it was awful.

Ten years ago when I was pregnant I stopped using my steroid cream and it flared up really badly. A friend recommended Liz. For two years she juggled my prescription until it was under control. She also gave me lots of dietary information. Now I have changed my diet slightly and regularly use huge pots of Liz's cream - going from the inside out really works!

I also suffered from hay fever. But the same ingredients in the eczema cream help that as well. I haven't needed any hay fever drugs for some time and I no longer feel drowsy all summer.

The doctor routinely checks if I still need steroid cream, but I have so little eczema now that he is quite happy for me to stick with what I'm doing. New people I meet can't believe I've got eczema. People I've known all my life think I've got rid of it, but it's just controlled in a very calm way.

I feel much happier and healthier to use herbal stuff instead of chemical stuff.

Liz is easy to talk to, she's so down-to-earth and normal! She's been a real Godsend and has changed my life.'

'I first went to see Liz in 2002, and have continued to see her as needed. Since having children my hormones seem to be out of balance, leading to an early menopause and low bone density.

I didn't want to follow the HRT route. Liz was particularly helpful in looking at things 'in the round'. She prepared herbal remedies but also gave me advice on diet, lifestyle and exercise.

I'm quite pragmatic and don't want wacky alternative routes. I like things logically explained to me. Liz has a scientific background, and her approach to things is intellectually rigorous. She seems to combine well-informed scientific knowledge with an approachable, sympathetic and to-the-point manner. Her genuine wealth of knowledge leads to lateral thinking ways of dealing with the problem that are just as researched, validated and tested as conventional routes.

My bone density scans were done through the GP but it was Liz who interpreted them to me properly so I had a much better understanding of what it all meant.

I know that by following her advice I will be protecting my health.'

'I've had Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) for eight years. I have been seeing Liz every nine months or so for four years. Her treatment is in a liquid form so it's easy for me to digest. Her preparations take some anxiety away, relieve some of the more severe symptoms and get the gut in a more relaxed, natural state so it starts healing itself.

There is definitely a physical benefit but also a psychological benefit. She is a very knowledgeable lady, who has the knowledge of a gastro-enterologist but is able to speak to you as a lay-person to explain what's gone wrong and what can help. She also gives lifestyle tips about what to eat and what to avoid.

IBS is a long-term, chronic illness. Has Liz cured me? No. Has she helped? Most definitely.'

'On holiday when my son Matthew was 10 or 11, he complained that his ankles hurt. He was playing football, swimming, and playing tennis on the beach so we assumed he'd sprained something. But he was still complaining when he went back to school in September, and his ankles were swollen, so we took him to the doctor who sent him off to hospital.

The following January he was finally diagnosed with juvenile arthritis and given anti-inflammatory tablets. They were one-quarter adult strength but they made his stomach bleed so he stopped taking them and we went to Liz.

She made up capsules as the herbal medicine was really horrible to taste! Every time he grew a year she put in something stronger that he was able to take.

As the normal treatment was detrimental, the doctor is happy to keep on with Liz's herbal treatment, and passes Matthew's blood test results direct to her.

Matthew used to be in so much pain but now he's now heading for an A grade in GCSE PE. The doctors say this is the best they've seen his ankles in two years and the teachers haven't noticed anything wrong.'

'I was recommended to Liz about five years ago. She took about one hour to talk through all my symptoms, then made up a mixture for me to put in water and drink everyday for three or four weeks. It helped a lot. It obviously improved my thyroid - I felt a lot better and definitely had more energy. It even tasted quite nice!

I went back to Liz about a year later because I'd stopped taking it and things had deteriorated.

She's very professional and knowledgeable, and I am happy to recommend her.'

'Because Liz's therapy is based on the natural herb, we could get the chance to improve our physical condition without a harmful after-effect. Also she listens to our words carefully and gives us suggestions on how to keep in mind the consideration for our body through daily life.'
